An illustration for the back page column of Alternatives Journal, "Brain Mulch" (my regular beat). The column concerned the environmental and social issues underlying the conceptual art of Doug Fishbone, known for placing 30,000 bananas in London's Trafalgar square. Fittingly (?), the illustration refers to Norman Rockwell's self-portrait.
